Why Alpha Lens
Sound familiar?
I read the NVDA earnings piece—I bought at $180. Is this good or bad for me?
I get the headline, not what it means for my position.
After work, the news was hours old and the price had already moved.
Important signals keep arriving too late to act on.
I tried other tools but typing tickers and cost basis every time was too much hassle.
When setup is painful, even good tools go unused.
Alpha Lens answers using your average cost.
How it works

Your portfolio stays
on your device
Your portfolio never leaves your browser. We built it that way from day one.
-
Stays on your device
Your tickers, average cost, and share counts stay in this browser only—no accounts, no cloud sync, nothing on Alpha Lens servers.
-
Share counts stay private
When you analyze, we send ticker and average cost only—share counts are left out by default so position size stays private.

Why we built it
Why we built Alpha Lens
Alpha Lens finds excess-return signals based on your portfolio.
I'm primarily a retail investor in US stocks.
CNBC and Yahoo Finance were part of my daily routine—one article done right took real time.
And after reading, one question never went away:
"So what does this mean for my portfolio?"
I wanted the parts that touched my holdings, fast—and what to do next, right away.
When that didn't exist, I'd calculate by hand or ask communities.
So I built a tool to read news from my portfolio's point of view.
Try it and send feedback or ideas to ryanhyunboo@gmail.com—I'll iterate quickly.
